The Aspinwall Bowl originates from a photograph of an element on a train trestle I found in the community of Aspinwall, PA. This is part of the beautiful rail line that runs along the northern bank of the Allegheny River from Freeport, PA to downtown Pittsburgh. The particular way the steel rusted combined with a wonderful field of large rivets is what enticed me to create this design. This bowl is 9.5” in diameter and 1.5” deep, and sports a rich chocolate brown underside. All my kiln formed glass tableware is 100% food safe and made from Bullseye Tested Compatible art glass.
